While we were discussing color options, I painted a new resident\u2019s nails today at work, and she said that she wanted clear. \u201cCLEAR!\u201d was the only thing that sprung to mind. That isn\u2019t enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy hands are ugly, and I don\u2019t want to draw attention to them,\u201d she stated when I asked her why she wanted clear. \u201cYour hands tell the story of your life,\u201d I said thoughtfully in response. They narrate tales of adventure, love, and caring. These hands have held and touched things that most people can only hope to experience in their lifetime. After that, she decided to paint her nails pink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are times when what we find so insecure is beautiful to others.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fact that the nurse was able to boost the elderly woman\u2019s self-esteem is fantastic. We can all definitely learn from this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
