He Tried to Sell His Old Truck — But What He Did Instead Had Everyone Laughing

Billy Bob had been trying to sell his old pickup for weeks, but there was one big problem. The truck had over 250,000 miles on it, and every potential buyer lost interest the moment they saw the odometer. No matter how clean it looked or how well it still ran, nobody wanted a truck with that kind of mileage.

Frustrated, Billy Bob vented to a coworker one day. That’s when his friend leaned in and shared a not-so-legal suggestion. He knew a mechanic who could roll the odometer back to 50,000 miles. It wasn’t exactly honest, but Billy Bob was desperate. He figured once the mileage looked better, the truck would finally sell.

That weekend, Billy Bob paid the mechanic and had the odometer changed. The truck looked the same on the outside, but now it appeared barely used. Two weeks later, his coworker ran into him again and asked the obvious question: “So… did you sell the truck?”

Billy Bob just smiled and said, “Sell it? Why would I sell it now?”

His friend looked confused.

Billy Bob laughed and added, “It’s practically brand new again.”
