What started as a normal afternoon at home took a frightening turn when a young woman ended up in the hospital after an unexpected accident involving the family’s giant mastiff.
According to the family, Joven had just laid down on the floor to rest for a moment when their massive dog — weighing well over 150 pounds — tried to sit directly on top of her. The oversized companion, known for being gentle but incredibly heavy, apparently didn’t realize she was there.
In a split second, the dog’s full weight pressed down on Joven’s abdomen and legs, leaving her unable to move or breathe properly. Family members rushed to help, but by the time they lifted the dog, she was complaining of intense pain and dizziness.
She was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors discovered bruising and internal pressure injuries caused by the sudden weight impact. Thankfully, after tests and monitoring, Joven’s condition stabilized and she was released with instructions to rest for several days.
The family says the dog had absolutely no intention of causing harm — he simply tried to sit close to the person he loves most, not understanding his own size.
