As a parent, your imagination can be your worst enemy.
This dad had a 14-year-old daughter and a polite, well-mannered 14-year-old boyfriend who visited every Sunday. They always stayed in her room, door closed, talking or doing whatever teenagers do. He trusted them… but one Sunday, a thought hit him hard:
“What if they’re making their own kids in there?!”

The boy looked up, face red with embarrassment, holding a pencil and trying to solve an equation that clearly had him defeated.
“Dad, we’re doing homework,” she said, rolling her eyes.
The father stood there stunned — and then felt the weight of his panic melt into pride.
His daughter wasn’t sneaking around.
She wasn’t hiding anything.
She was helping someone she cared about succeed.
He quietly closed the door and walked away, feeling a mix of relief, respect, and just a tiny bit of humiliation.
